We need volunteers to help fill the roles below.

All our Riders Hold an Advanced Riding Qualification

Riders

Need to live within 30 minutes of one of the major hospitals in the county of Devon

* Aged 25 plus, and held a full licence for at least two years

* Must hold one of the following advanced rider qualifications:

> The Institute of Advanced Motorists. (IAM)

> The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) at Silver or Gold Standard only

> Police advanced riding certificate

> Armed Forces advanced riding certificate

* Have only “minor” offences and no more than six penalty points on your licence

* Willing to ride in most weather, or transfer and continue duty in the car if needed

* Happy to help out with Fundraising events as needed as well as riding

* Happy to commit to at least three shift days a month as a minimum

Drivers

Need to live within 30 minutes of one of the major hospitals in the county of Devon

* Must have an Advanced Driving Qualification or be prepared to take part in a driving assessment

* Aged 25 plus, and held a full licence for at least two years

* Have only “minor” offences and no more than six penalty points on your licence

* Willing to drive in all weather conditions

* Happy to help out with Fundraising events as needed as well as driving

* Happy to commit to at least three-shift days a month as a minimum

Fundraisers

Enthusiastic to help find the funds to keep our wheels turning – a vital role!

* Helping at collections and events

* Giving talks at presentations

* Helping to find corporate sponsors and grants in conjunction with the Fundraising Manager

* Assisting the Treasurer/Team Leaders with Cash Counting to an agreed process

* Looking for outlets where we can site our collection pots – delivering and collecting these

* Looking to come up with innovative and enjoyable schemes and events to help us raise funds.

Coordinator

Good telephone manner, and enjoys working with people

* Basic IT Skills required – Messaging/Data Input into a spreadsheet type system

* Working from home, so a good Mobile Phone and Data Signal essential

* Able to plan journey times using Google Maps and plan jobs accordingly where needed

* Happy to volunteer for either day (8am to 5pm) or evening shifts (5pm to 10pm)

* Optional cover for overnight, 10pm to 8am – we infrequently receive calls on this shift

* Prepared to commit to covering at least three shifts a month

Other Skills

Help with administration – sending letters and emails, thank you certificates etc

* Receiving contacts through our website, and forwarding these to the relevant person

* Helping to keep our volunteer and supporters databases up to date

* Helping keep our Jobs Database up to date and filing all manual job receipts

* Ordering stock from our authorised suppliers as and when needed

* Experience with marketing, Photoshop and design work
