South West Blood Bikes (SWBB) was privileged to be among a select few organisations invited to Becton Dickinson’s (BD) Difference in a Day event – their first in the UK. The initiative brings together experts from across the BD business, who volunteer their time to support non-profit organisations like SWBB in tackling the key challenges they face.

Our Vice-Chair, Dave, and Chairman, Steve, represented SWBB at the event. Reflecting on the experience, Steve said:

“The event itself was outstanding, and everyone involved in organising it should feel immensely proud of the impact it has had. It will make a meaningful difference to South West Blood Bikes (SWBB) and has given us a clear sense of what needs to be done over the coming months to realise the potential the BD team unlocked in just one day.
I also hope the BD team who supported us recognise just how valuable their skills and expertise are; while they may be second nature to them, they have made a significant difference to our charity, which is run entirely by unpaid volunteers.”
