South West Blood Bikes is a charity run entirely by volunteers.
We provide a free, out-of-hours transportation service for essential medical supplies, such as blood, plasma, platelets, and pathology samples, to hospitals and hospices throughout Devon and beyond.
Our volunteers are trained to the highest standards and use specially equipped motorcycles and cars to transport these vital supplies quickly and safely, often in challenging weather conditions.
We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
To date, our volunteers have been called out more than 9,483 times, and moved over 54,000 individual items, saving the NHS close to £500,000.
We are committed to providing a vital service to our community and helping to save lives.
We are proud to be a part of the NHS team and to support the people of Devon and beyond.
